The new boardwalk between the shallow "small children's area" and the rest of the pool was constructed with the foundations, brackets and holes necessary for the installation at a later date of the proposed umbrellas to provide shade for parents and pool users that would be sitting on the boardwalk wall.

These umbrellas need to be delivered and installed prior to the new liner installation.  The steel posts are more than 500 pounds and a machine will need to lift them into place.  Global and Flagship are recommending they be installed now to protect the liner from the heavy equipment.  

 The actual umbrellas have a rapid detachment mechanism that allows them to be removed for the season or in windy weather.
