Discussion:

This property has been vacant for more than seven years.  It has generated numerous calls from neighbors regarding its condition and trees falling on the adjacent new homes.

The city recently had a tree contractor cut down trees that were in danger of falling on adjacent properties after several struck decks on homes.

The city has sent letters to both the owner's post office box and home address and has had no response.  Neighbors have contacted the listed owner and he has claimed that he doesn't own the property though a title search shows that he does.

This property is in uninhabitable condition and is putting adjacent homeowners at risk.  The building is open as are the outbuildings.  A fire at the property may impact adjacent homes because of their close proximity.

The city has been successful in the past remediating these properties.  The city would recover any of its costs through an assessment on the property.
