At its April 16, 2024 meeting, Council approved the application to the MNDoT and MN DPS’s Safe Road Zones grant, via Resolution R2024-054, for the safety project along US Highway 169 corridor from County Road 69 to the Minnesota River bridge. The project was chosen and the City has been awarded a total of $142,000: $92,000 through the MNDoT portion of the grant to complete a traffic safety evaluation, conduct public outreach, and develop a plan for enhanced awareness, and $50,000 through the MN DPS portion of the grant to provide increased enforcement activities. | | |
