Council had previously approved the mural design and entered into a mural easement with the property owner of 113 Lewis Street S, Selena Walsh.

Staff solicited proposals for printing and installation of a mural using a unique 3M product that will adhere to the brick but can be removed at a later date.  SignPro provided the most responsive proposal that included using a Vinyl-3M SV 480 material with a 3M 8508 Overlaminate 60 inches on the face for extra protection.

This same firm did the Zamboni at the Shakopee Ice Arena and the owner understands that this is a complicated installation that will literally need to be fit around all the intrusions on the building.

The Shakopee Chamber has provided the city with $7,000 from towards the cost of the mural.
