Kraus Anderson bid out the Jackson Commons Park plans in various packages.  

The estimate for the large scope of work that included Site clearing and grading, Asphalt paving, Concrete, Bike skills course and trails and Landscaping and irrigation was $2.1 million.

We received many bids for all but one category,  totalling $1,619,035 for all categories. The bid tabulation and recommendation from Kraus Anderson is attached.

The remaining work will be the seeding of the prairie areas that will be completed by Scott County Soil and Water Conservation District with the city purchasing the seed.  This is estimated to be under $150,000. The last item that will be bid out is a shelter for approximately $100,000

The Council has previously approved a contract with Kompan for the playground equipment (853,421.34) and with a tree removal company to clear the pond areas of invasive species or dead/dying trees ($100,000)..

The total project cost for construction will be approximately $2,822,456 from Park Dedication.
