The Shakopee Chamber has submitted a number of requests on behalf of area businesses.
The Shakopee Brewhall is celebrating their 7th Anniversary and are requesting to close 1st Avenue between Holmes Street and Lewis Street. They will be doing the "Bockfest" in which they poke beer with a hot stainless-steel rod. The event will be on September 14th from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm. The request with a map of the layout is attached. There will be German-themed vendors, family-focused games through Parks & Rec, face painting & balloon animals, vendor market, up to 4 food trucks, a beer garden on their parklet, their jockey box outside the storefront to serve on 1st. They will also have live music on the parklet. They will have wristbands on participants who purchase alcohol. They ask for the street to be closed starting at 10 am until 7 pm, with the event starting at 11 am, on Saturday September 14th, 2024.
On September 20, 2024 from 4:00pm to 8:00 pm and on September 21, 2024 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm the Shakopee Chamber is holding their annual Food truck Festival at the Landing - Minnesota River Heritage Park and has submitted an application for a temporary liquor license.
The next event is the Mana Brewing Co. and Babe's Place Oktoberfest Event being held on September 28, 2024. The event will be held from 11:00 am - 8:00 pm on Holmes Street between 1st Avenue and 2nd Avenue. There will be live music during the afternoon, axe throwing, cornhole tournament, and a couple of Food Trucks. Attendees will be required to show ID and they will be wrist banded prior to purchasing alcohol.
The Shakopee Chamber has submitted the required license applications, and maps (which are attached for your information).
The Police Department and the Planning Department have no issues with these events.
