On April 3, 2018 the council authorized advertising for bids for windows for Fire Station 1. The initial estimate was $161,000 and up to $200,000 with alternates.
On May 8, 2018 bids were opened. The city is able to accept alternate 1, which includes replacing all of the entry doors to the building, for just over $160,000.
Staff is recommending to accept alternate 1 so that all windows and doors match, have been upgraded at the same time and are weather tight. | | |

$100,000 was budgeted for this project in the Capital Improvement Plan. There are sufficient funds in the Building Internal Service fund to approve this project at the proposed amount. | | |
