Discussion:
This property has been in the Pass family for many generations. The current owners, Charles and Rita Mae Pass, originally had not planned to sell. Because of some life circumstances, they approached the EDA to acquire the property. The EDA and the city own the adjoining property.
The proposed developer of the River Bluff development agreed to redesign the project to focus the entire building along the river and include a restaurant in the location of the house.
It is proposed to close on property on August 1, 2018 and to allow the Pass family several months to relocate out of the house.
The house appraised at $175,000. Relocation benefits will be used to relocate the owners to a property that can better support their lives and allow them to transition to a new location.
